BLACK SABBATH: Artist Explains Inspiration Behind 'Born Again' Album Cover
September 29, 2004BLACK SABBATH fan site Black-Sabbath.com has posted the story behind the cover for SABBATH's classic 1983 album "Born Again", which was previously thought by some to have been uncannily similar to a DEPECHE MODE single cover for the track "New Life".
"For ages, there's been some wonder behind the story of the cover art for 'Born Again'," Black-Sabbath.com webmaster Joe Siegler wrote in an e-mail to BLABBERMOUTH.NET. "Earlier in this year I ran across a DEPECHE MODE album cover that looked the same. This week I received an email from Steve 'Krusher' Joule, who did the artwork for SABBATH's 'Born Again' album. He sent me a story behind the legacy of the cover art and its source material." Read Steve's story and check out some of the related images on Siegler's "Born Again" page here.
